About

The purpose of this WordPress is to promote Hell Bent, a series that I have been working on for a little over a year.

Hell Bent follows the exploits of a somewhat unique family living in Hell Bent, PA: Lab Capital of the US. Making up this family are:

-Dr. Spencer Abbot (mage)

-His monkey/human hybrid wife Gemini (or Gemmy, for short)

-Her older brother Travis (also half-monkey)

-Young Daniel Abbot (Spencer and Gemmy’s part-monkey son)

-Dr. Serena Taylor (Trav and Gemmy’s adoptive mother/the mad scientist that made them what they are today… Also, she is part cat)

-Beast Taylor (Serena’s twin sister; part cat, cyborg, assassin)

-Nick Taylor (Beast and Serena’s younger brother, FBI agent, and probably the only normal human amongst them)

Also part of the group are a couple of friends/coworkers of Beast’s: Ivy and Yvette Sangre. Ivy’s a psychic, and Yvette is a mage.

This family has the “joy” of dealing with all manner of threats, ranging from a serial killer, a genocidal mage, and an arms dealer that sort of brings to mind a pirate.

I’ll get around to posting stuff up here soon. Probably starting with character profiles.

I’m liking the concept. This could be quite cool. Looking forward to reading more. Are you planning to illustrate this? A graphic novel type of thing? Or is this words only at this point? Sorry, lots of questions but I like the idea.
